Dear Professor von Uhl,
Hello there! I hope this letter finds you in good health. I simply wanted to express my excitement for the fascinating field of engineering! My intended major is computer science and let me tell you, I’m totally inspired with technology’s ability to effect meaningful social change.
My short-term goal is to engage myself in internships, co-ops, and hands-on projects to establish a strong foundation of technical knowledge and skill. I strongly feel that not only will this improve my engineering skills, but it will also help me to explore the countless areas within the field and discover what I am truly passionate about. I am certain that with some hard work and perseverance, I will be able to make a significant impact and be prepared to pursue my long-term goals.
Furthermore, let me say that my long-term goals are big. I want to be an international computer scientist and engineer who leads the charge in technological advancements that will benefit the planet. Engineers, in my opinion, have a key part in solving the world’s issues; from sustainable energy and waste reduction to improving healthcare and quality of life.
I am convinced that engineering will continue to play an important role in shaping our future, and I am excited to be a part of it. I’m putting my engineering degree and passion to good use, and I’m devoted to learning and enhancing my skills so that I can accomplish my goal.
Thank you for reading about my goals; i can’t wait to talk more about them with you in the future!
Sincerely,
Mahmudul Hasan
